This sculpture is part of the trio of sculptures titled Hau te Kapakapa  (The Flapping Wind.)  All three small sculptures are located at the Queen Street entrance to Myers Park, and all three sculptures feature a native bird interacting with a piece of packaging (urban detritus).  This sculpture features a Pateke (brown teal) hiding inside a bubblewrap lined envelope.

The sculptures stand in the area where the Waihorotiu Stream once ran, these birds would have found food and shelter on the banks of the stream.  Now the birds, smart and adjustable use detritus left by humans to fulfil the same need.

This sculpture is located in Myers Park close to the Queen Street entrance, Auckland CBD, New Zeland.
