Dog and Drover stands as tribute to the cattle drovers, shepherds an stockman who played an important part in developing the Fielding and the wider Manawatu district.

Erected in 2003, this sculpture was made by long-time Fielding High School art teacher John Fuller.  Fuller moved to Fielding to take up his role in 1953 and taught until his retirement 1985. During his retirement he made a number of sculptures around Fielding. John Fuller passed away in 2012.

This sculptor can be found in the middle of Kimbolton Street, at the entrance to Fielding.
